A One-Day Layover in Tokyo, Japan

The first leg of my journey came in the form of a twenty hour layover in Tokyo, Japan. At 4:05pm local time, June 11th, 2019, my ten-hour flight originating in Seattle, Washington, touched down on the tarmac of the city’s Narito airport. And my next flight to KL wasn’t to depart until 11:00am the next day. So I figured I’d head into town, see what I can do with the limited time I have, and crash in a budget “pod” hotel. The next morning, as I rode the high-speed train back to the airport, I pulled out my laptop and wrote everything that transpired, from memory. It goes as follows:
